On Saturday 20th June, Bolton Hospice held its Midnight Memories Walk and Stateside Foods were the main sponsors.

The evening’s entertainment started with live bands, dancing, entertainment and a warm up from 8pm. The walk started at 10pm with a minute’s silence at Midnight as walkers lit up the sky with illuminated wristbands to remember loved ones. The walk followed an eight mile route from the Town Hall square in Bolton, along Chorley New Road, passing the Hospice on the way and looping back to the Town Hall, where walkers were presented with a well deserved medal and refreshments.

Actress, Maxine Peake and Emma Neville, wife of footballer Gary Neville, proudly supported Bolton Hospice when they took to the start line of the Midnight Memories Walk. Maxine started the sponsored walk off at 10pm and Emma set a fast pace with the lead walkers including the Hospice Chairman, Judith Bromley.

Stateside Foods, not only sponsored the event but also had a team of walkers taking part – Laura Woolfrey, Claire Taylor, Emma Berry, Sarah Gaskell and Heather Middlehurst, who together raised a total of £323 for the hospice. On the night, they were joined by more than 1,500 men, women and children who all signed up to walk for their own personal reasons and for one great cause, Bolton Hospice.
