Stateside Apprentices Breakout for The Christie

6th April 2017 ‹ Back to listing

Stateside’s apprentices came together on Thursday 30th March to battle it out at Breakout to raise money for the Manchester based cancer charity, The Christie.

Breakout is a live escape room game located in Manchester. You are locked in a room with friends, family or work colleagues for an hour and have to solve a series of puzzles and mysteries to escape. You have to search high and low for clues and work together if you want to escape. You have 60 minutes to escape by using only your brain.

Breakout donated their rooms to various charities for the day so that the charities could then offer them to teams for a donation to their charity. It’s a great way to raise much needed funds for ¬†great causes, whilst having loads of fun. ¬†One team of apprentices unfortunately found themselves inside the room labelled ‘Captured’ – otherwise known as ‘the horror room’. The team said, ‘It was more difficult than we thought it was going to be and it really was scary, but fun at the same time. It was great because it’s not like anything else we do as part of our apprenticeship – we would definitely recommend it as a team building event, because you really do want your team with you in this situation and you have to work together’.

We won’t name and shame, but not everyone made it out this time. We can’t wait for the next time!
