The Apprentice Scheme is designed to give you the opportunity to gain real experience within a vibrant and busy production environment. You will work in all key areas of the business whilst working towards a degree qualification and earning a competitive salary. The overall goal will be for you to gain knowledge and leadership skills to be able to deliver future business objectives and ensure excellent product standards that will continue to exceed our customers’ expectations.


On our six year Apprenticeship Scheme, you will have the opportunity to earn a BEng Degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, with the further option to obtain a CMI Level 5 in Management and Leadership where appropriate.


This Degree Apprenticeship is suited to those looking to begin or develop a career in Engineering at a management level.


What is the Engineering and Business Management Degree Level Apprenticeship?

Our Engineering and Business Management Degree Level Apprenticeship is a new approach to university level education which offers full time work with Stateside Foods, whilst studying towards a BEng Degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Liverpool John Moore University. Apprentices will study a core curriculum across six years, incorporating a one year study break where you will have the opportunity to gain real on the job experience. You will attend one teaching day per week on campus at University during term time.

The information listed above is an overview of the academic content of the programme that will take the form of either core or option modules. Modules are designated as core or option in accordance with professional body requirements and internal Academic Framework review, so may be subject to change. Apprentices will be required to undertake modules that the University designates as core and will have a choice of designated option modules. Additionally, option modules may be offered subject to meeting minimum student numbers.

What you’ll need:

Prospective candidates will have Maths and English GCSE grade A-C or equivalent, and will require a minimum of 112 tariff points at A2 (BBC) or equivalent (such as DMM on BTEC Extended Diploma or D*D* BTEC Diploma). ICT GCSE at grade A-C or equivalent is also desirable.
