Bakery Operative 2-10

Job Title: Bakery/Production Operative

Hours: Sunday and Monday 6am-6pm, Tuesday to Thursday 2pm-10pm

Main Purpose:

The main purpose of your role is to work directly for the line and team leaders to maintain high manufacturing standards throughout the production of chilled pizzas in either the bakery, topping or packing areas.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Handling different food products
  • Working in a chilled environment
  • Performing tasks in all areas of production
  • Being responsible in ensuring all products are made to correct standards
  • Control of Materials to standard
  • Good manufacturing practice standards adhered to
  • Carry out changeovers with all the team

 

Knowledge, skills & experience: Previous experience in food production is advantageous but full training to provided

Production Operative Various Shifts

Stateside Foods are looking to recruit  a highly motivated Production Operatives to join our fast paced, rapidly growing successful FMCG company. The site factory facilities covering 65,000 square metres. The site contains two factories, storage for raw materials and finished goods, and office facilities, to accommodate all aspects of our business in one location. We are part of Sudzucker the 9th largest food group in Europe.

As a company we are very proud of our IIP gold accreditation which shows our commitment to our people. Further to this we strive to manage and drive the company forward through a strict KPI and lean approach which is then fully supported with a strict adherence to our in house behaviour and communication policies.

Duties will include working on a busy production line producing pizzas/pizza bases in either our bakery, topping or packing areas.

This will involve handling different raw materials including meat and vegetable products. You will be required to work in either a chilled production or bakery environment.

Various Shifts Available:

Monday-Friday 6am-2pm

Monday – Friday 2pm-10pm

Monday-Friday 10pm-6am

Tuesday-Saturday 6am-2pm 

Sunday – Thursday ( Sunday and Monday 6am-6pm, Tuesday-Thursday 2pm-10pm)

Main Responsibilities:

Working directly for the Team Leaders and Line Leaders. Responsibilities will include:

  • Being able to multi skill and perform in all areas
  • Ensuring that product is made to the correct standard
  • Control of Materials to standard
  • Good Manufacturing Practise standards adhered to
  • Carry out changeovers with all the team

Previous production experience and good communication skills are essential.

Main Responsibilities

  • Acting as a role model whilst demonstrating best practice at all times.
  • Building effective relationships with Team/Line Leaders teams across the piece
  • Working safely at all times and communicating safety concerns promptly to the Coding Line Leader
  • Maintain and improve housekeeping/GMP in all areas.
  • To complete all reasonable requests in line with instructions given.
  • To follow the correct procedure with regards to GMP.
  • To report any Safety, Mechanical or Foreign body issues to the Coding Line Leader

Knowledge Skills and Experience

  • Working knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems preferred.
  • High energy level required.
  • Able to communicate effectively.

Hygiene Line Leader Tuesday-Saturday Nights

Department:                                 Wingates Hygiene

Job Title:                                      Hygiene Line Leader

Immediate Superior:               Hygiene Team Leader

Hours:                                            Tuesday – Saturday 9:45pm-06:00am

Salary:                                            Negotiable

Main Purpose:

To ensure night shift hygiene function follows best practice approach to complete all required duties to a high standard including plant and equipment cleaning.

Responsible for all Night Hygiene on shift, to ensure all cleaning standards are met then maintained in line with customer, legal and audit requirement.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of the Hygiene team to ensure full compliance of customer and legal compliance. 
  • Ensure the safe practice of all operations during the shift; this includes the use of personal protective equipment and chemicals by all staff.
  • Ensure safe and cost effective management of all cleaning chemicals used on site in line with COSHH legislation.
  • The highest quality and food safety standards are embedded through the factory, and standards of hygiene and good housekeeping are maintained (GMP).
  • Ensuring all staff clean following standard operating procedures and working practice to ensure continuous improvement throughout the hygiene system.
  • Manage and motivate a team of hygiene personnel, make sure they are appraised and trained to the appropriate standard.
  • Ensure the clean is effective against all cross contamination including Meat/Veg, Micro, Allergen, Chemical and Speciation
  • To effectively plan and control staff movements in order to meet cleaning schedules and frequencies.
  • Positive release of production areas to include auditing and swabbing.
  • Ensure shift audits are carried out at the required frequency and necessary action taken.
  • Ensure full due diligence of all hygiene documentation.
  • Ensure full support and coaching is given to other departments during scheduled weekly deep cleans.
  • To monitor chemicals used by the hygiene team and ensure correct handling, use and dilutions
  • Ensure cleaning equipment is safe in operation and of sound condition.
  • Coach and motivate the team whenever required to do so.
  • Communicate with all departments across site / shifts to ensure issues are fully visible.
  • Strive to recognise areas of hygiene to continuously improve.
  • Control all chemical stock including rotation and lean control.
  • Ensure shift handovers are conducted daily.
  • Cover for the shift Hygiene Team Leader when absent.
  • Any and all duties for effective turnaround of the daily clean to ensure production can start on time

Knowledge, skills & experience:

  • Good communication skills are essential.
  • Good literacy and numeracy skills
  • Intermediate food hygiene and health and safety qualifications
  • COSHH trained and have a sound knowledge of the food production industry
  • Experience in staff management

Working Term:                           Full-time, permanent

Hours: Various Shifts Available

Main Purpose:

Maintaining a clean working environment throughout our food production facility including daily, weekly and periodical cleaning of machinery, handling chemicals, and ensuring cleanliness of production areas. Duties will also include completing line change overs.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Cleaning & sanitation of production machinery.
  • Adhere to Health & safety practices.
  • Completing hygiene records.
  • Completing daily, weekly & periodic cleans of machinery & production room fabrication.

 Health and safety and (COSHH) awareness are preferred though training will be provided. There will be a potential to work at heights after training.

 Knowledge, skills & experience:

  • Previous experience in production would be advantageous 
  • Chemical experience preferred
  • COSHH awareness preferred
  • Good attention to detail is desirable
